After weeks of educating people about the ban that voters approved in May, police are allowed to start arresting violators this week as the city tries to find more housing.
Sophie Park
Sophie Park was a 2021 photography fellow. In 2020, she graduated with a B.A. in international relations from Boston University. In her time at BU, she worked as a staff photographer for BU Today, associate photo editor for the Daily Free Press, and assisted teaching visual journalism courses. Sophie also worked as a photo intern for the Harvard Gazette and photography teaching assistant at Harvard Extension School. As a photographer and scholar, her perspectives are shaped by her semi-nomadic upbringing in Missouri, New Jersey, and Cambodia. While behind the camera, her goal is simple: to capture otherwise fleeting moments, connect people, and debunk stereotypes through visual mediums. She is especially interested in telling stories around race and identity through portraiture.
